The new Models Own Hypergel polishes. I'm pretty sure everyone and their dog, have heard the hype surrounding these. And while recently half price, I took advantage of them being £2.50 a piece and picked up a couple of shades. Turquoise Gloss and Pink Veneer. But today we're only talking about the latter.
The shade itself is beautiful. It's a pale, opaque baby pink and I think it looks really pretty with my rose gold watch. Anyway, the formula is what we're really here to talk about, isn't it? Being a 'Hypergel' I was expecting a thick, gloopy polish that would require a spatula sized utensil to spread it.
But no, how wrong I was. Yes it's thick, but it's still easy to apply. It dried relatively quickly between coats and when finished with a topcoat, looks exactly like a gel manicure. I've had this on my nails for 5 days now and it's only now, there's a chip in sight. (Note: I used Seche Vite after I applied this)
The brush isn't the thickest or the widest I've seen, but it's usable. But overall I definitely recommend this polish for the finish alone! And at £5 a bottle, it's far cheaper than a gel manicure.
